Pesticides - Generic Organic Pest Control Method 5

In our Agriculture for Everybody blog series, we are going to see Generic Organic Pest Control Method 5 which is an organic pest repellent.

Required Ingredients

Method of Preparation
  1. One method is to use either Cow Urine (1 Part) or Vermiwash (1 Part) individually.
  2. Another method is to use Cow Urine (1 Part) + Vermiwash (1 Part) mixed equally.
Note:
  • Please note that the stick (neem stick is better or any pole) used for mixing the ingredients should be cleaned before & after the usage so as to avoid maggots formations in the pesticide.
  • The pesticide should be kept in the shade and covered with a wire mesh or plastic mosquito net to prevent houseflies from laying eggs and the formation of maggots (worms) in the solution.

Method of Storage
  1. The pesticide should be kept in the shade and covered with a wire mesh or plastic mosquito net to prevent houseflies from laying eggs and the formation of maggots (worms) in the solution.  This is applicable during the preparation as well as during the shelf life of the pesticide as well.

In our Agriculture for Everybody blog series, we are going to see Generic Organic Pest Control Method 4 which is an organic pest repellent and used only specifically in Arhar (Parappu Varieties) crops.

Required Ingredients

Method of Preparation
  1. Take a vessel which can hold a little above 100 Litres and fill it up with the required water.
  2. Crush or Break down the Jaggery well into very small pieces or make a paste out of it.
  3. Mix the crushed Jaggery in the Cow Milk well and ensure that it is mixed well.
  4. Add the mixture in the vessel containing the water and it is ready for use.

Method of Preparation
  1. Take a vessel and fill it with 20 Litres of Water.
  2. Grind the Soap Nuts well and immerse them in the water.
  3. Boil this mixture well.
  4. Allow it to cool down to room temperature.
  5. Filter the contents and it is ready for use.

Method of Preparation
  1. Take a vessel which can hold a little above 20 Litres and fill it up with the required water.
  2. Cut the Coconut Pulp into small pieces and immerse them well in the water.
  3. Add the Coconut Water & Curd into this.
  4. Allow it to ferment well.
  5. Once it is fermented well, it is ready for use.

Method of Preparation
  1. Take a vessel which can hold a little above 15 Litres of Water and fill it up with the required water.
  2. Cut the Aloe vera Leaves, Custard Apple Leaves & Papaya Leaves into small pieces and immerse them well in the water.
  3. Boil this mixture till it becomes 10 Litres.
  4. Allow the boiled mixture to cool down.
  5. Add the Turmeric Powder to this and mix well.
  6. Keep it as it is for a night.
  7. Add 1 Litre of Water to this and it is ready for use.

  3. Crush the Custard Apple Seeds and place the entire pulp in the water.
  4. Pour the Cow Dung & Cow Urine and mix them well.
  5. Allow the entire contents to ferment for 5 days.
  6. Filter the contents and it is ready for use.
